University of Chicago Aeromedical Network (UCAN)

Chicago’s only hospital-based medical flight program replaced their Dauphin with an Airbus EC135 completed by Metro Aviation.  UCAN is the only medical helicopter program in the Chicagoland area that always flies with a nurse-physician or nurse-nurse team. It typically transports one patient at a time, but it can, in rare cases, fly two patients at once.
