Metro Aviation will begin operating for a new customer this November. Vidant Medical Transport provides critical care air and ground service around the clock in Greenville, North Carolina.
Vidant Medical Transport owns two EC145’s and one EC135 to service Greenville and surrounding areas within 150 miles. Aircraft are IFR-equipped and outfitted with night vision goggles and color weather radar. Their service includes neonatal transport, intra-aortic balloon pump, video laryngoscopy, advanced airway management and other life-saving treatments and procedures.
“We are very excited about the new partnership between Vidant Medical Transport and Metro Aviation,” said Jason Carter, Assistant Vice President of Emergency Services for Vidant Medical Center.
When looking for an operations partner, Vidant Medical Transport set out to find an operator that shared their values and dedication. Once they visited with Metro, Carter said the choice was clear. “After an extensive national search, Metro Aviation was the natural choice for us, because of their commitment to quality, safety and innovation. We look forward to delivering high-quality, safe care to the people we serve in eastern North Carolina with Metro Aviation.”
Vidant Medical Transport will transition from its previous operator to Metro Aviation on November 1, 2013.
