Development is underway for Metro Aviation’s new custom training program for maintenance technicians. A computer-based training program is currently being developed by Avstar Media and will be tailor-made for Metro based on the company’s own training manuals.

“Avstar Media provides the most current and comprehensive information in a high tech format that trains our personnel to the highest standard,” said Terry Palmer, Director of Training for Metro Aviation. “We are thrilled to add Avstar Media to our training solutions.”

Tom Ramirez, President of Avstar Media added that, “Metro Aviation’s maintenance technicians will see their training come alive with interactivity and visual effects that will greatly enhance their learning experience.” Palmer says the addition of Avstar Media will solidify Metro Aviation’s longstanding commitment to maintenance training by providing the highest quality computer-based knowledge transfer tools available today.

The new program will cover FAA Part 135 and Part 91 regulatory courses, Metro’s Part 135 Operations Manual, maintenance-specific modules, human factors and a variety of OSHA-recommended courses. Metro Aviation will begin using the new program during the first quarter of 2014.
