When Metro Aviation relocated to its current facility from several airport hangars five years ago, they never imagined they would fill all of the available space. Upon the acquisition of a former Solo Cup manufacturing facility in 2007, Metro transformed the building into a comprehensive completions/operations facility with paint, avionics, machining, production and installation areas. The facility has since undergone three expansions and is now home to a state-of-the-art training center in addition to improvements made to its original space, and all of this is under one roof.

Metro Aviation has enjoyed steady growth over the years and is pleased to announce the completion of 33 helicopters in 2013, including: 20 EC135’s, 9 AS350’s and 4 EC145 aircraft. The company also welcomed five new operations customers in 2013 and another operations customer in February 2014.

“We strive to provide cutting edge technology and first class service to our customers,” said Managing Director Milton Geltz. “The Metro family knows we are available around the clock to answer their questions or be a sounding board for ideas.”

Metro Aviation continued their expansion across the globe last year with the delivery of two EC135’s to South Korea. This year, Metro will complete, among many others, its fourth EC155 and an AS365.
