Metro Aviation, along with its subsidiary, Paradigm Aerospace Corporation, will once again exhibit at HELI-EXPO this year.  The worldwide completion leader is displaying three aircraft in Orlando, a first for the company, but a move that is sure to draw some buzz.

Metro recently completed the first EC145e or “e-lite,” a utility version of the popular EC145 platform.  The e-lite combines the well-known features of the EC145 with the benefits of a simplified avionics system, and is perfectly suited for a variety of mission profiles.   The EC145e will be joined by an eye-catching EC135 recently completed for First Flight in Melbourne, Florida.  First Flight’s aircraft is not a new addition to the fleet, but a refurbishment of a 16-year old helicopter.  Metro Aviation completed First Flight as a new ship sixteen years ago, and its condition today is a great testament not only to Metro’s refurbishment capabilities, but also their standards for maintenance and operations.

In addition, Paradigm Aerospace Corporation (PAC), a Metro Aviation company, will be displaying Tampa General Hospital’s Aeromed Bell 407 GX.  The aircraft was completed by PAC at their completion center in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania and is operated by Metro Aviation.  PAC boasts extensive completion and maintenance experience for the Bell airframe, as well as AgustaWestland and Sikorsky. The company provides completion and customization services for a wide range of mission profiles and practices the same principles that Metro Aviation has become known for: safety, quality and customer service.

Metro Aviation invites HELI-EXPO attendees to the Metro Press Event on Wednesday, March 4 at 1pm.  Metro leadership will discuss the aircraft on display, as well as the growth of the Helicopter Flight Training Center and the completion of Metro’s 75th EC145.  In addition, Metro President Mike Stanberry will address the company’s commitment to IRIS, the complete solution for flight data monitoring, tracking and communications.
