METRO AVIATION UNVEILS NEW OCC
March 5, 2015
Metro Aviation recently upgraded and expanded its Operational Control Center (OCC) at its headquarters in Shreveport, Louisiana. The OCC is the central control point for Metro’s fleet of over 130 aircraft.
Metro’s new OCC houses a supervisor, administrative support and two Operational Control Specialist (OCS) stations equipped with Xybix workstations. Five 60-inch displays show satellite tracking, weather data, aircraft status, and crew staffing information, allowing Metro’s OCS team to monitor real-time flight conditions.
“Expansion of our OCC keeps Metro Aviation at the forefront of regulatory compliance,” said Metro Director of Operations Jim Arthur. “Additionally, we are preparing to implement our Electronic Flight Bag program and enhanced operations management software. These changes will allow us to better integrate the OCC with those programs.”
Metro Aviation operates more than 130 aircraft for 33 programs across 18 states.
