Forty young professionals under the age of 40 were honored at the ninth annual Northwest Louisiana Young Professionals Initiative Gala on Dec. 5 at the Shreveport Convention Center.

The 40 Under 40 Award recipients are recognized for their personal achievement, experience, innovation, vision, leadership, and community involvement.

Outstanding young entrepreneurs, executives, managers and professionals in public, private or non-profit sectors are nominated annually. Metro Aviation is proud to congratulate Kristen Holmes for being inducted into the ninth class of 40 Under 40 Award recipients.

Holmes came to Metro Aviation with a wealth of experience in public relations and journalism in both civilian and military roles. Her resume boasts everything from designing websites to hosting reality TV shows to staring down Saddam Hussein in the courtroom from behind the only video camera permitted during his trial.

Holmes has utilized this more than ample foundation to bring Metro Aviation’s marketing, outreach and customer relations beyond just the next level.

During her short tenure, she has overseen and successfully implemented a litany of projects, including but not limited to: MACS (Metro Aviation’s Customer Symposium), attendance at the Association of Air Medical Services’ Air Medical Transport Conference and Helicopter Association International’s Heli-Expo, spearheading the marketing and customer support for Metro’s MetroAlert smart phone application, a complete redesign and deployment of Metro’s website, countless press releases and untold other marketing and communications efforts.

Holmes has worked tirelessly and the helicopter industry has benefited greatly as a result. Her undying enthusiasm, can-do attitude and never-ending desire to better herself and her work are truly infectious. Metro Aviation is honored to have Holmes as part of the Metro family and looks forward to many more great years to come.
